One particularly notable 302 report details a 2024 interview with a former military pilot. According to the document, military aviators began noticing unusual lights between midnight and 3 a.m. during the previous year. The pilot's first sighting occurred while flying from Massachusetts to Ireland in October 2023.
"[Redacted] was at an elevation of 37,000 feet and believed the lights were higher than him, probably at 50,000 feet or higher. The lights were white in color, would start out as dim, and get brighter before they eventually faded out," the report explained.
The pilot reported witnessing these lights approximately ten times following that initial encounter. He also recounted an experience from his 2002 service in Afghanistan, describing how stars appeared to darken over Bagram around 4:30 AM local time. Something enormous passed overhead from west to east in an equilateral triangle formation. The silent craft maintained a steady speed and altitude of roughly 150 knots with no visible lights. The pilot estimated the object measured about 500 feet across.
