Ciera Riley said one of the men killed was her brother. She identified him as a 32-year-old father of four and remembered him as someone devoted to the people around him.
“He doesn’t do any harm to anyone. He’s always a loving person. He’s here for everybody. So for someone to want to hurt him, it’s ridiculous. It’s crazy,” Riley said.
Riley described the venue as a place where people gathered to relax and spend time together. The shooting, she said, was especially difficult to comprehend because she believed serious violence had not occurred there in years.
“It’s where everybody comes to just have fun and just to mellow down,” Ciera Riley said. “Like, if you want to just chill and be, you know, good vibes, this is where you come. So for this to happen, it’s crazy. Nothing has happened over here for years.”

“I’m trying to keep my composure for my siblings and for the rest of our family and friends because it’s about to be rough. Like, it’s his children, he, his babies. He lived for his babies,” Riley said.
