According to Whiffin, the same phone was used to map a driving route from the Duxbury house to a Plymouth eatery named ThreeV. Prosecutors contend that Clancy dispatched her then-husband Patrick to a CVS pharmacy and to ThreeV specifically to free up uninterrupted time to kill the children.

Case Background and Defense Theory

Lindsay Clancy, 36, faces first-degree-murder charges for the deaths of her three young children — Cora, age 5; Dawson, age 3; and Callan, 8 months old — found dead in their Duxbury home on January 24, 2023. She has pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors Jennifer Sprague and Shanan Buckingham maintain that Clancy premeditated the killings and then staged a suicide attempt. Clancy herself concedes she killed the children.

Reddington’s defense rests on the claim that Clancy was overmedicated and experiencing postpartum psychosis at the time, rendering her not criminally responsible. Patrick and Lindsay were married when the children died; they have since divorced, and Patrick is now wed to another woman.
