Scope of the Latest Disclosure
The latest batch, shared via the Pentagon’s official UAP portal, includes both historical records and recent reports. Half of the files trace back to 2010 or later, with videos showcasing infrared footage captured by military equipment. These visuals depict unexplained objects and encounters across global locations, such as the western Pacific, Atlantic, and Middle East.
Notable Incidents in the Files
A standout document details a 2015 event where an unidentified object entered the airspace over Pantex, a nuclear weapons facility in Amarillo, Texas. Two officers described their pursuit of the craft, which vanished into the north without sound or identifiable propulsion. “The object did not produce any noise, and we couldn’t determine its power source through binoculars,” one report noted.
In 2019, an Air Force aviator recounted an encounter over the Eastern U.S., where a small, fast-moving object appeared to travel in the opposite direction of their flight. “Its speed took it out of my field of view, even after reducing the zoom,” the pilot wrote. “Post-flight analysis suggested a rectangular shape, but no definitive explanation was found.”
The 2020 Atlantic incident features a video of a dark, maroon-colored object approximately 12-15 feet tall. A Navy crew member described it as “a large, somewhat deformed balloon,” though the details remain heavily redacted. The report is classified as a “range fouler debrief,” a standard form used to document unauthorized intrusions into controlled airspace during military operations.
Historical Context
Among the older files is a transcript from a 1949 Los Alamos, New Mexico, conference attended by leading physicists and scientists, including Manhattan Project members. The discussion centered on “green fireballs” observed over the nuclear lab, with one theory suggesting they were meteors. However, a prominent astronomer disputed this, stating, “Nothing like this … has ever been observed in meteorite drops.”
Also included is a 2025 report under the Indo-Pacific Command, highlighting a military sensor’s observation of a six-pointed star-like pattern over the Yellow Sea and a prolonged tracking of an object over the East China Sea. These recent events add to the growing collection of anomalies studied by the Pentagon.
Future Releases
According to Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell, the current release is not the final step in the disclosure process. “The Department of War and our agency partners are actively working on the next release of UAP files,” he said, emphasizing ongoing efforts to expand the public record of these mysterious occurrences.
